The last HDEC full meeting for 2024 is 10 December, with the agenda close date of 28 November at 12pm. While current volumes do not indicate this is already filled, please anticipate a potential last minute rush.

Wednesday 18 December will be the last day for HDEC business, including responding to emails, processing submissions and sending letters. All clocks for things currently under review by end of day will be paused, resuming 13 January 2025 and overriding the SOP dates of 25 December to 15 January.

For 2025, the HDECs will be resuming online operations such as inbox queries and Ethics RM processing Monday 13 January 2025. The first full meeting however will not be until 4 February 2025, with the agenda closing 23 January 2025. It is highly likely the first few meetings of the year at minimum will be made up of applications received in December 2024. The full list of 2025 meetings is available here.

Urgent requests

Urgent items can be monitored for outside of these dates, however no staff will be available 25 December 2024 - 7 January 2025 to respond to these.

Urgent items are where there would be significant impact to the safety or wellbeing of a participant or potential participant. We request common sense is applied as to whether something is urgent to avoid unnecessary processing and to potentially delay truly urgent items.
