COVID-19 Emergency Operating Procedures will be stood down
The Emergency Standard Operating Procedures (eSOP) will no longer be active as of 11.59pm 19 October 2022.
This is due to a reduction of reactive or time urgent COVID-19 related studies. If there is an exceptional case that requires urgent review, this may be expedited after consultation with the Secretariat and Committee, however this will only be for studies reacting to COVID-19 with significant time-urgency. All future COVID-19 related studies will be reviewed by the usual HDEC pathways. The HDECs will investigate building emergency procedures into the Standard Operating Procedures of the HDECs for the future. The eSOP procedures may be implemented again as required in response to future outbreaks.
